    In the contacts app I link duplicate contacts but whenever I return to them they are listed as separate contacts again. Why does this keep happening???

    This is what I am talking about! I just linked these contacts less than 5 mins I ago and they are unlinked again!

    Try disabling the Carrier Services app from Google. Just a hunch I'm working on.

    Thanks how do you do that?

    Yeah I wonder why this is an issue with this phone. Seems like such a silly issue. Condite can you chime in you usually have an answer for these things

    Go to your app tray and locate the Carrier Services app, long touch on it and drag it up to the top of the screen to where it says disable.

    figured it out. in the contacts go to the settings and there is a option to just show Sim contacts. seems to work
