I ve ordered BlackBerry Keyone twice and both of them had the same problem. As you might see there are two sections of loudspeaker on the bottom and only right side worked. Is it OK?
I can't believe it! BlackBerry Passport has the same two sections and both work. I had sent first one back and the device, which I got yesterday , I still have.
I believe the left side houses one of the mikes. The left and right holes are more for symmetry.
If I remember a message posted in the forums from a CrackBerry employee, the BlackBerry KEYone has a single speaker at the bottom and a single microphone at the bottom for all audio with the exception of a second speaker at the top of the smartphone for telephone calls. By the way, the bottom speaker is not stereo but with the included wired earbuds you get stereo audio output.
In my opinion, the microphone should be located under the space bar in the plastic bevel allowing stereo audio at the bottom of the smartphone.
pooh, no qi, no amoled, no stereo, no descent dual language functionality, jeez, a toy... Priv should get nougat or oreo for better operation & could sell well...
Guys, to really notice proper stereo sound you need to have decent space between the two speakers. No phone can offer that as they are simply too small. For stereo sound you are better off using ear/headphones or b/tooth speakers.

True... but damn that Passport was loud! I never had a need for an external speaker when I had that phone!

I agree for the most part on "stereo sound" But there is a significant difference when I have my DTEK60 horizontal compared to the KEYone. The DTEK60 is richer.

The passport has one of the best (if not the best) speakers I have ever had on a phone. They were loud and the quality was fantastic. I have not had a phone that came close to that quality ever since.
