Companies can give early release product to anyone they like. Why do you think that would be illegal? As for fair, he's an influencer, a small celebrity in this particular market. So why wouldn't you want him hyping up your new phone?

Seems like a good decision to me. TCL really has been doing some nice work creating buzz.

im not sure what is hard to understand here. Many people get devices LONG before public even knows about them. TCL employees im sure us them as daily drivers well before release. They also distribute to whoever else they want to test. They also can make them sign NDAs if they want. Im sure Kevin has some sort of agreement on what he can and cant do. Just like everyone else. Why do you think there has never been anything on paper seen about the actual specs.

Its not like kevin walked out of CES with the device that was laying around on a coffee table. I kinda want to have CBK do the CB review!

Well Kevin kinda started this Blackberry fan site so i wouldn't be surprised if Blackberry / TCL allowed him a little inside look at their new devices. Its also free marketing for them and Kevin is happy to do so. With regards to things being 'Fair' and 'Legal'. The device has been shown off officially at CES earlier this month and has been heavily covered with photos and videos, no i don't think there is anything 'illegal' about him showing one pictures.

I definitely agree there may be a couple people who have been using Blackberry longer than him, but he has tirelessly put effort into promoting Blackberry and covering Blackberry news that i think its only 'fair' he gets to have the goodies before others

I'm sure Bla1ze has the device as well but he's too cool to show it to everyone haha ^_^
