I'm on the west coast of Canada. I've checked all three big carriers and even Walmart. Can't find it for less than $700. Anyone know if there's another, maybe smaller, store I could look at to buy one?
I know this sounds sad but I'm just asking. Gotta save where I can. I know it's a new device so maybe this is the best I can get it for for now.
Not going to find it for less than $700 right now. The only way you'll get the upfront cost down is with a plan with a Canadian Carrier. Do you have a plan currently with any Canadian Carrier?
I'm on Freedom. It's all good. Probably gonna buy from Walmart so I'm free of carrier locking. Or maybe I'm wrong. Is a factory unlocked device, like the one Walmart is selling, identical to one bought from, say Rogers, outright and unlocked by them? I ask because Rogers has it $50 cheaper than anywhere else. If nothing is different once it's unlocked then I may as well save some money and blow it on accessories.
At this time WalMart is not selling it. They mistakenly put it up on their website and a few people did order it but actually received DTEK60's. It still shows on their website but now shows as out of stock.
I see that. However my question is what's the difference? Like, why buy it from Walmart at $50 more than at Rogers? Are they different phones? Is there a difference internally? Will they perform differently?
They're the same phone. Whenever BBmobile decides to have the unlocked KEYone for sale in Canada is anyone's guess right now. If you're looking for it faster I'm sure locally in the bigger Canadian cities you can find them for sale by people who tried them out and just decided to not keep them.

If you keep an eye on eBay, I mean every day, and sort by price etc, you will stumble across randomly weird priced ones. I missed one or £250 for quick sale from a non-commercial seller. Then spotted one for £300 from high feedback used mobile phone salesperson. He had quite a few (boxed/unboxed) and I managed to get an unboxed/no accessories but MINT condition one. It arrived in a jiffy bag (I know!) but was intact (thank god) and works perfectly. its now no longer naked thanks to a Rinkge case. My seller was: stho9238
