    John Chen said recently that they will release two devices this year, these are the mid range devices he's mentioned.

    I highly doubt that both devices will be released at the same time, so in typical BlackBerry fashion. The Rome will likely be released last and come out in the 4th QTR of the year in the Oct-Nov-Dec time frame.

    That's the problem with blackberry. ..they just take too long to release their phones.

    I believe it's the fiscal quarter, so by Feb/March 2017.

    I believe releasing Rome later in the year makes sense as it would provide a path for those early adopters of Priv who may want the better pkb, assuming that the Rome would have a more iconic BlackBerry keyboard that is.

    Then again, for those who passed on Priv because of price and / or name, or for those who are holding out for an Android "Classic" , it might not matter.

    As for myself, if no other handsets are announced by BlackBerry (or rumored) I'd likely get a Rome based on what I know of it today. Things may change, of course.
