I'm currently using Pulse and it has crashed. What is everyone using for a basic texting app? I don't want whatsapp or those type

I use Textra but it's not perfect. The one thing that really bugs me is when I click on a text message in the hub it opens the Textra app but I still have to scroll through my messages in Textra to find that one I was looking for. Almost defeats the purpose of having my text messages in the hub. I can't even remember why I chose to use Textra over the native app 🤔

The issue you describe has nothing to do with the SMS app - that's a Hub thing that got introduced with some Google requirements a while back.
I'm also using Textra for SMS.

    Google Messages.

    You can't "fix" the HUB.

Textra, but now that RCS encryption is rolling out probably try Messages again.

For me, I use whatever the OEM preinstalled since I expect it to be optimized for the device and better tested.

RSC, exclusive to Google Messages, changes the game.

That’s what I have on 3a OEM provided I would assume. On the KEYone and Motion, isn’t the messaging app Google Messages also?

I'm using the paid version of Textra as well and love it, but RCS has me thinking of switching back to Messages.

Are there any apps that need to be running parallel with Messages for RCS to work on the KEY²? I haven't had much luck getting it to work for me, which is why I remain with Textra.

Nothing else needed. Have you confirmed that your carrier supports it?

Yes, I've switched my SIM into another device where it did work.

Very odd. It works fine on my KEY². I'm not sure what to suggest as there just aren't really any user settings that can be played with.

Perhaps. Along with app caches and factory reset. But Ben knows all the usual stuff.

Hmm, just updated Messages again and it now seems to work. Maybe a Carrier Services update came to my aid somewhere in between...

Google sent out an update that broke Messages but has rolled it back.
