Setup your own OpenVPN server using a hosted server like digital ocean for $5 month. You can have virtually unlimited devices, including computers/routers/android/ios. Plus, it can double as a way to remote into your home or other network. You can also use port 443 TCP, so you can get around most efforts of some hotels and other free wifi hotspots that try and block VPN use.

They log ip , bandwidth and timestamps. Based in USA, worst of the worst.

Might as well not use one because being based in the USA is a contradiction
Most people aren't worried about big brother, and having some type of VPN is always a good idea on public WiFi networks. And some people simply want a VPN hosted in the USA, simply to appear they are inside the USA.

Do not use American or British vpns for secure data transfers unless you want your competition to know about it. Courtesy of the NSA and GCHQ.

As long as the servers are scattered, you're fine.

That was my number one concern. I'm hardly on Public WiFi. For me, VPN would be the reason of not giving extra sniffing that mass surveillance etc are already doing.

I'm sure they have now created these VPNs to make average Joe feel he's safe.

Nord VPN, they have 20% back on ebates and current offer 72% off if you subscribe for 2 years. Going through ebates will make that 2 year offer disappear, copy a link to the 2 year page, activate ebates for nord, then paste the link and go and it should work.

I use Anchor and think it does a good job. I like that it can be set to turn on automatically for unsafe WiFi networks. They also claim that they do not keep logs.

I use ExpressVPN and yes, it's more expensive but it's lightning fast with no performance degradation.
