If I connect the keyone to VPN (without using the always-on option ticked), mms send/receive fine.

If connected "with" the always-on, checked, txt sends/receive fine, but MMS wont send, they just sit there with sending.....

anyone know why and a way to fix this?

VPN configurations don't often include MMS settings due the carrier IP ranges, best way to deal with it is disable your VPN. Google is full of the issue. - mms over vpn - Google Search

if the always-on isn't checked, it works fine. so correct me if I'm wrong, while connected to vpn (without always-on), is it actually disconnecting to send the mms, even though it doesn't look like it is

VPN is garbage. I use NordVPN on all of my devices. When you really need a VPN to protect you online such as visiting financial sites to access your accounts, you can't because financial sites cannot be accessed while connected to a VPN. Straight garbage.
