    I'm curious does everyone get a text message letting them know they have a voicemail and if so can you somehow turn that notification off?

    Missing a call makes my phone spasm with a ringtone, a voicemail notification and a text message which seems excessive and annoying.

    Voicemail text message is a carrier feature. You would need to discuss with them how to turn it on/off.
