does anyone know, will it be physically bigger than the priv in its 'closed' state? that's the only reason why I'd hold out... for the hope of a smaller bb... but if it is going to be equal in size.. might as well go priv.

It's hard to say, but I'm guessing based on the renderings we've seen it will be the same size as the PRIV when closed. The same PKB and less screen real estate.
First look at the BlackBerry "Vienna" - the company's second Android phone! | CrackBerry.com
We don't even know if it will be release one day..

I'd think a longer classic. One of the reasons the Priv is more square than most slabs is that there needed to be edges on the keyboard for the slider. If you remove those you're able to make it thinner.
this is true, but the priv also has smaller than classic keys, right?
anyhow, the Vienna renders appear smaller than the Priv to my eyes. thankfully

The screen is 4.5" but there hasn't been any information about the whole size of the phone. My guess is that it'll be similar to the size of an extended out Priv.

At this point I don't even think JC knows .
I freakin' hope not. These whole gigantic phone thing is utterly ridiculous. If I wanted to slap a freakin full size laptop to my head every time I need to answer my phone, I would find a way to link my phone and laptop and strap that sucker to my belt, but no I don't have a desire to do that. Give me a normal sized phone for crying out loud...

These days big phones are the new trend unfortunately.. but I am curious to see how big the Rome will be with a 4.5" display. They better have it made it comfortable to hold and hope it's not too heavy

I know it's the new trend, but I was never a trend follower, I set my own standards. And like watching Kardashian and taking selfies, I definitely am not aligned with this new trend...

I want a 4.2" 1080p display. Will have to speak to Chen and make sure it happens lol

Hopefully the iPhone SE will encourage companies to start offering more variety in size. Early sales show that it's stealing a higher percentage of android users per sale than previous iPhones have. Granted the volume won't be as great, but it's intriguing that they are really the only company offering a 2016 phone that has its form factor.
