I feel your pain OP...

The only good thing going for me with this device is the battery life. And in part, it's probably doing so good because I can't do as much on my device as I used to. Weak signal, weak BT, Wi-Fi drops, screen is so dim outside, etc, there are way more negatives then positive!

The same behavior has any phone. Do you remember the antennagate with the iphone? There was a comparison video from apple where they covered the antenna with hands and it was on all devices the same. Even BB was tested then. Think it was 9780 or something..

Signal is weak but the quality is high with little noise. Therefore, overall​ performance is good. However, it should have been outstanding so complains are justified

Yikes, that would drive me nuts!

Last time I had an issue like this was in 2007, on a Nokia N81, where the antenna sat at the bottom of the device, it would do almost exactly the same thing, but wouldn't totally lose the signal.

Take a Galaxy S8 oder Pixel. Does exactly the same. So these are bad phones as well then and regarding their price tag they should be exceptional. KeyOne is just a midrange phone..

Lol some of you guys are killing me. When the iPhone 4 had this issue it was obliterated in here as being unacceptable and a reason BlackBerry's were superior. People still cite "you're holding it wrong" (even though that's not what Jobs said). One of the long running points for why to use a BlackBerry was because of their "ability to get service where other phones can't".

Now that a BlackBerry has this issue it's being said that "all phones have this issue to some degree." Priceless.

This phone has reception issues. I'd get no service where I got service with other phones and countless others have reported the same issue.

This may be true, but when it becomes bad enough that it leads to dropped calls while other devices perform just fine under exactly the same conditions...it is a problem.

My iPhone 7, iPhone 7+, Dtek50, Dtek60, BB Classic, Galaxy S6, Nokia E71 don't/didn't do that. All 3 K1s that I tested did.

@tcl: about time to release a statement and, more importantly, to fix this?
A more serious issue than the screen lift, imho.
If the screen lifts, I can apply glue or tape it (I wouldn't recommend it nor do that on my phone though).
If I can't make calls, there is no workaround.....oh wait, I could go elsewhere!
Ok, lets agree, both issues are disastrous for this product. The screen lift got addressed, allegedly. Will the reception issues be addressed? Can they be addressed without major redesign of the phone? TCL !!!?

Crackberry has the power to raise issues with TCL and force a response but they haven't been doing that. TCL put out a vague statement about screen lifting but haven't addressed the continued CDMA shortage, signal and reception problems, lack of security updates...
