When using Device Search, I find certain files, say "Itinerary" but while tapping on a photo/jpg it will offer an app add and open it, or open an Email that contains that word, nothing happens if I tap on a pdf or doc file with that name.

Similarly, searching for an mp3 file, will find it but not offer any of my music players to actually play the file.

Is there some trick or permission I need to set or change?

Is there an Association option for various file extensions?

    Thanks in advance.

Great idea for enhancement to the Files app (which I still don't have on my Sprint version by the way!) but I don't know of any other solutions. Some of the other file manager apps emphasize the ability to open various file types but after thorough review decided I wasn't comfortable security wise with an outside app for these functions. Monitoring this thread for better ideas.
