The USA launch of KEYone is progressing well!

It's going as I assumed it would, people are buying phones even before midnight which is cool.

I just checked Amazon and see it's up and running with stock available. 31st at 8AM Eastern time.

But my plan to purchase is less emotional then some.

Wait until the frenzy abates, which takes about 30 days of incessant complaining about,,,,, everything.

This also allows ample time for any serious issues, if any, to be discovered and to be posted.

As usual there will numerous dooms day reports, but anything of a true problem will be in a news article from main stream media.

So when the smoke clears I'll be there sipping on my beverage and enjoying a Cuban cigar, and with the slight tap of the 'Buy key', I'll order.

Now, back to watching the hysteria!

I had my cash ready to pull the trigger and Amazon has no prime available and TCL delivery is June 8th-16th and Best Buy has none in stock and the earliest is June 3rd for pick up, the worst part is the Blackberry mobile website hasn't been updated yet. Not good.

You can't be serious. This launch is horrible. Amazon and Best Buy only selling GSM, which is unexpected. Amazon already sold out, so we're on the backorder train yet again at a launch. Best launch possible is to have stock for everyone that wants one on launch day, and have the right products including the network bands for the largest carrier in the US. This launch sucks.

Ill be honest, as bad as this launch is (which I fully expected) it does not have the HP Elite x3 Windows Mobile beat. Announced 8 months before launch, then launched with completely faulty software (phone would restart when you took a picture) then cancelled again for a month, then re-launched only to have issues with sim tray. THAT was a debacle. Iphone 7 launch, completely sold out. And just look at every single Google Pixel / Nexus device launch... complete disasters for months on end.

TCL probably figured noone but CrackBerry members wanted the thing so they only made like 25000. They probably doubted it and now that it's a nostalgic thing and more than just CB wants it they are stuck with that wrong move.

BlackBerry isn't the only one who does this. Look at Nintendo for the Classic and Switch. You still can't find either one of them in stores.

My guess... no one. BlackBerry Mobile doesn't seem to have a team. Seems like 1 or 2 amateur kids are running everything.

Or the reason they haven't updated the website is they are too busy producing the KEYone because the demand is too high for TCL which is supposed to be a multi billion dollar corporation. 😂😂😂

When I made a topic about an obvious sell out and for people to take it seriously, a decent amount of pessimism was prevalent. Pretty hilarious watching the chaos unfold.

A sellout of around 100 devices... TCL was never ready to release this phone on the 31st.

It's hitting home, TCL and other prominent members from this Forum were and still a bit quiet so far which is SO unlike them. They probably knew it and waiting for it to settle down here.

It was the case of no one had the courage to come out and say, that it doesn't look good for the 31st either.

My big guess is major QC in the production run just by looking at the issues at hand.

Every Best Buy in my area had them in stock today. Now all gone. It sucks for supply to not meet demand, but it's still better than demand being shorter than supply like with the Z10 and Q10...

Edit: Let me clarify, better for TCL, not for us, lol.
