I know it's available on the 31st, but does anyone know what time it will be available? I'd like to order early in case there are stocking issues. I don't recall seeing what time it would go on sale.

My suggestion, on May 30th at 11:59 pm EST, wait until a minute or two after midnight to see if it's available on Amazon or BestBuy's website. If not, go to be and wait until the morning.

In $US what's the k1 gonna cost? If UK £499 ± $639 US is correct, disaster is in the offing ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I wonder if Amazon or Best Buy or whoever will get a bundle of some sort - phone+choice of case, phone+case+microsd or something like that.

I'm setting my alarm to go off every two hours starting at midnight. The second it's available, I'm pulling the trigger.

US price does not include US state sales tax, which could add another $35 or so. Distribution costs in the US are typically less, too. It's not that big of a difference.

Us sales tax can reach over 10% so 549+55= $ 504 while £499 is ± $ 639 and we don't know if that includes VAT which can be 21% in EU nations (i.e. Belgium)... overprice is again pulling this thing down... after the fanboys buy, the sales to other users may reach in the dozens... in the US the majors and air resellers are running tv commercials subsidizing sammys 100% so BlackBerry k1 may rot on the vine...

If the only buyers for the KEYone are value oriented consumers who would pick the wrong phone for their preferences due to price promotions it's dead already.

Either there are 10-40 million PKB fans world wide, and 10% of them will buy a KEYone type device each year at a midrange price or there simply is no market for such a device. We'll know within a year or so either way.

Initial sales could be great, like with the Passport, which had > 200K at launch but which never sustained those nunbers. What BlackBerry Mobile needs to see is sustained sales from people retiring their BB10 or BBOS phones.

I don't think TCL will share sales data for a while, unless sales are well above their projections and they have to explain stock outs. Stock outs without sales numbers, like we've seen in the UK, suggest limited supply.

UK had it first, so you paid more but got it first

I'm wondering if this thing will really make me move of my classic for good. I flirted with the Priv for a few months but went pack to my classic with open arms lol

Look at the number of downloads of pre-loaded BlackBerry apps on the Play Store. The Hub is still at just 500,000, indicating the Priv and two DTEKs have sold under 1 million.

If true, that wouldn't surprise me. That's why BlackBerry exited hardware in the first place. But I have no idea what point you're trying to make or what it has to do with my statement about BB10 and BBOS PKB users .

Sorry, my point was that we'll see how that download number increased when the K1 comes out to get an idea of the sales. Though I think the next badge comes at 5 million, so if they sell 4 million K1s that would be pretty successful.

Let's see if Amazon site c rashes... or slow down for the ordering... the site still got 899 K1 right now.
