I have a K1 and a DTEC60 and am slowly resigning myself to the realization that on time or even randomly delivered updates may becoming a thing of the past. I know that nothing is absolutely guaranteed in this world but it would be sort of nice to know what we could expect in the future regarding security updates. On time, sporadic or non existent. Is that a lot to ask?

Android devices should be supported like apples devices are updates are only good for two years with android and much longer with the iPhone.

I think you can expect what we have seen so far, sporadic and inconsistent security updates based on model of the phone.

There's a reason for that, hopefully it improves with Android O.
