I've never used Hangouts. Now when I put in a new calendar entry I find a link to Hangouts in that that I did not request and it concerns me. The shortly after that has been blanked out for possible security information that I don't even no about at all. Has anybody seen this? I've looked through my Google settings and I don't even find a means of disabling it. The only Google application I've installed in the last several months is Google Duo. Could that be the culprit? What else to look for. In Google settings I can't even find hangouts or chat to shut it off or see what they eat statuses.

Try loggin into your Gmail account from your browser, from a PC/MAC. On the left side of the screen, where your Gmail folders are shown, there's a small Hangouts window on the bottom, you can logoff from there.

If you log into Google from standard non-mobile browser on laptop or desktop, you can trigger login same as Google Voice as well.

    True.

It's just Google being Google. Logging you in on all of their products whether you want it or not.
