On good authority I was once again told that unlocked KEYONE wil not be available in Canada until late August. Likely as posted by another this will turn out to be a DTEK60 - $ 650 is the DTEK 60 MAP price. I think Walmart just fubarred this. The MAP price for KEYONE is $ 729. I too ordered one and it was supposed to arrive today but now showing delivery tomorrow. I guess we're going to find out soon enough.

My intel is solid. K1 will not ship UNLOCKED in Canada until mid (earliest) late (likely) August. I ordered from Walmart as well just see what they would ship - and mine's also a DTEK60. Yes they messed this up. big time. Classic McGruber - even if it's BB Mobile.

This is a big miss on Walmart's part. Especially since they have the Dtek 60 on their site for $549 or something like that (now I wonder what the Dtek 60 order ships as?). So they are shipping the wrong phone and over charging. I wonder if they even have KeyOne stock? A lot more people purchased it because of the story on the main blog. It is going to be a mess if everyone receives a Dtek 60.

I was really hoping for a KeyOne, it was really good price, I had decided to cling on to my Priv for a while longer but the $650 price was good enough to tip the scale for me.

It was no big hassle for me to take it back to the local Walmart for a refund. They don't even have the Dtek 60 there, there was a lot of puzzlement going on at the service desk. They had to call a corporate number to untangle it. I spoke to the corporate guy and tried to get them to just send me a K1, seemed like he was going to do it, I asked him to check an actual box to confirm that had KeyOne on it, he put me on hold , came back and said I had two options, first take the refund at the store, second was send it back by CanadaPost, reorder and I get a 10pct credit on the reorder.

Didnt want to mess about with CanadaPost or suffer through perhaps more uncertainty and waiting so I just took the refund.

So it looks like they don't have any KeyOne stock. They really need to take the item off their online store.

The launch for this device has been such a mess on all fronts. Very sad really.

Here is hoping actual unlocked stock becomes available in August.

The Walmart link on the CrackBerry main page now points to the DTEK60 and when you search Walmart for the KEYone you find it for sale for $729.98 now instead of $650

It would seem that Walmart does have the KEYone for sale, according to the tweet I linked to earlier and the now updated product page (showing correct UPC code and price of 729).

I think anyone who ordered one at the 650 price should be entitled to a KEYone regardless. It's clearly an error by Walmart.

So if you get a Dtek60, take it back and demand they send you a K1 at no extra charge.
