BlackBerry Unveiled New Android Phone Called Vienna

BlackBerry has no words yet on when the BlackBerry Vienna will hit the market.

Tech giant BlackBerry is back in the industry with its latest Android device called the Vienna after releasing BlackBerry Priv last last year.

The BlackBerry Vienna smartphone has a slimmer design compared to the Priv. Its design information was spotted on the leaked images just this week, after the BlackBerry-following website Crackberry posted the design renders of the phone online.

The BlackBerry Vienna features a 5.4-inch OLED display screen with 2,560 x 1,440 resolutions. The handheld device will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor paired with 3GB of RAM on board.

It is equipped with an 18-megapixel rear camera at the back and a physical keyboard under the display screen, BlackBerry's signature design.

BlackBerry has no words yet on when the BlackBerry Vienna will be available in the market.

I believe John Chen said that the high-end market is well-saturated and if rumors of another Android-powered Blackberry being released around October.. that's bad news as it'll be competing w/ iPhones and Samsung S32456362345346.

So with that in mind, the same article was referring to a mid or even lower-spec'd model being released to get away from the saturated market. (have to find the article)

My questions is: if the speculations are true, why is Blackberry (again) releasing a sexy phone w/ mediocre specs? Don't give the "Classic" treatment. Albeit this time, it'll be Android-powered so who knows, maybe it'll run smooth. And please, no Priv keyboard. Stick to the keyboard that's performed the best and give it some specs and love!

Lol, that article is talking about the BlackBerry Priv.

Use a little common sense. Just imagine a 5.4" inch screen + a keyboard. It would be longer than a ruler.

It'll be more like the middle one with the keyboard under it (in addition to its length) at those specs...

I would LOVE the fixed keyboard!! Too bad sales aren't doing well as the PRIV is a great phone. Horrible name though.
This is my 6th blackberry. Not looking good though with recent results but I always have a faint hope for them

It is speculated to have a 5' display with a physical keyboard, flash front and back, decent front camera, <13MP rear camera, single sim, lollipop out of the box. Gathering more information by cross checking the various articles floating around ,but still waiting for an official release.

If the devices are being released in October, then I expect them to either have either Passport or Priv cpu. My wish is for 820, but I don't expect that.

No it's not. Passport's too old, Priv's too hot.

    Snapdragon 600 more like it.
