Built for Business - Learn more about BlackBerry KEY2

    Hello Everyone,

I have a question that I hope others can answer.

4 days ago the screen on my KEYone separated from the body. It only took 22 months, but it happened. The screen separated while I was using it, thus I cannot turn it off or access my files. The screen looks off white. I know it is on but can't see anything.

I am getting ready to send it back to BlackBerry for repair, and they told me to remove all media from it that I want saved. I am thinking photos, text messages, and contacts.

In the meantime I purchased a second KEYone. I want to transfer the files from the damaged phone to the new one. Can I still do a transfer even though I can't access my damaged phone?

Any assistance is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Your SMS / Contacts should already be backed up using Google providing you allowed it. Same with photos, provided you allowed Google Photos synching. If your concern is more about wiping the data, you should still be able to remotely initiate that. - https://support.google.com/accounts/.../6160491?hl=en

I can't recall if I allowed Google to do those things - and of course there is no way to check now. Thanks!

Can you connect it to a PC and see your folders/files on the phone from the PC?
