Other than the color and the AT&T Black created for AT&T, it should be the same as the Silver version. As mentioned, updates are controlled by AT&T.

There is also the other Black version sold outside of the US with more memory and more storage.

Just to be clear here, Its Space Black for AT&T. Have three in the house hold with no issues.

I love mine, for an Android device, that is. Non problems with the phone itself and not too concerned about the AT&T update schedule, which might bother others.

Excellent device. I returned my unlocked Silver edition and bought the AT&T version. Reason: the unlocked silver edition constantly dropped calls because it would drop down to HSPA for calls. It was using a network that hadn't been improved in years. Calls were dropped in the same places I used to drop calls more than 5 years ago. The AT&T branded phone places calls over LTE and works wonderfully. No reception in my basement with Silver edition. No problem with calls with AT&T branded KeyOne.

Yes, no problem at all with the phone utilizing VoLTE. No WiFi calling as of now, though. Rumor says it is coming but the longer it takes the more doubt I have about it. That said, the superior call performance with LTE on the AT&T branded KeyOne over the silver edition on HSPA makes WiFi calling not a necessity as it was with Silver edition.

Actually, AT&T issued an update in December (Second update that contained the November security patch). I believe it was BlackBerry that did not timely release the security update not only to unlocked phones, but to the carriers for distribution as well.

I think most people buying through carriers are comfortable with moderate delays in patching. Otherwise, they would have bought unlocked.

Best BB ever...we have three K1s in the house, one from Amazon and two AT&T...all work great! Extended family has Samsung S6 and S7 Active phones and after setting them up, still prefer the K1 with PKB and BB Hub.

Well, my bad. It says Android security patch of Nov 6 and Build AAR649. Sorry about that. My phone said I had an ATT Software update the other day and I acknowledged but never looked at it afterwards. Still a great phone though!

I agree. I was hoping next update was out. I switched from buying factory unlocked to carrier locked in case any warranty problems. AT&T can do my heavy lifting if necessary.

My thoughts exactly. Phone is huge step up from PRIV. Been using the phone for 8 hrs now and battery level is 79% I would have charged my PRIV once already! Sweet device that I am learning about more each day!
