So I tried the Mr. Shield from Amazon, worked for about a week, then I noticed my buttons were misfiring. Sometimes they worked, sometimes they didn't. Drove me nuts. I figured out that the adhesive is only on the edges, and through normal use the screen would actually slide around (ever so slightly) causing the buttons to become misaligned.

I would like to get a tempered glass sheet that covers the screen, but not the buttons. I'll take my chances that a drop would crack that area. It looks like I need a 3.75" X 2.5" glass sheet.

Maybe I could use a sheet from another phone?
Can you get custom cut tempered glass?
