I got AT&T VVM app working but could never get wi-fi calling provisioned enabled on my unlocked BBB100-1
We'll see here soon. Most factory unlocked devices do no support WiFi calling, so that is no surprise.
My Pixel doesn't even have WiFi calling on AT&T.
Factory unlocked devices do support wifi calling. The problem is most carriers lack putting in the effort to provision them for such features to work.
Called customer service said the keyone will not have wifi calling.
To check build date:
1 - Dial *#2886#
2 - Hit "MANU"
3 - Then "Traceability" on top
4 - Hit "Pass"
5 - On the bottom should be your build date
6 - Hit "Pass" again
7 - Scroll to bottom and hit "exit"
Thanks @the_boon
She has arrived! Be back in a few after setup.
@Strikelll wow first one - lucky you!!! Please do share asap....and if you had silver version, any differences!! We are all waiting in suspense.
Does it have the AT&T logo stamped on it?
Yup and it's pretty ugly.
I've seen worse...
Here's the software version that it shipped with. I've already seen some changes that AT&T had made but I'll address them in another post after I get everything setup.
That brought a tear to my eye. [emoji22]
so annoying
Nevermind. Just saw someone say it won't have it. Bummer
I don't mind the ATT logo. Typing this on my keyONE. Came a few minutes ago. Now to see if I can figure out if it has WiFi calling.
So far here's what I've noticed. No WiFi calling (bummer), No direct video calling to other AT&T customers from the dialer, No Advanced Text Messaging Options but It does have HD Voice which is a big thing. You also got your usual AT&T/DirectTV bloat which I'll be disabling. They also moved the Update Software option into the settings.
Boo!
Doesn't the logo come off with nail polish remover? Or was that only old blackberries?
More we want more!
I wish the crappy Blackberry Content Transfer app copied over all my keyboard shortcuts, homescreen and settings from my original K1. Ugh, anyone know of an app that does this?
Though this is not the news I hoped for appreciate the info. I wouldn't be too sure about direct video calling. If u know someone else who has AT&T and the provisioning enabled on their device I was told by an AT&T rep. it WILL work.
Whats the build date on it?
I wouldn't try it. Polish remover is acetone and it eats mosts plastics. I doubt the back cover of the K1 is oil resistant plastic.
I don't see the option for it on the dialer. When I call my other device which is the S8 Active that's on AT&T there's no option available to switch it to video. On my S8 Active the when in the call the video option is grayed out and when I try to tap it says the other person cannot accept video calls. I may need to call ATT CS to see if there is something they need to enable on their end.
