I'm curious. Is there any indication that simply patching the August 2018 OS is any less secure than a fully updated OS?

My assumption would be that the difference would only relate to bugs and feature enhancements, with security features integrated.

I understand that a lot of people really care about having the latest OS, and that's absolutely fine, but I'd like to distinguish between "better and more up to date" and "more secure."

It would be no less secure - it just doesn't carry any of the minor bug fixes than newer builds might have.

Strictly speaking, it would be the MOST secure OS running on any KEYᵒⁿᵉ.

The irony of AT&T having the best patched version of. BlackBerry phone!

There are dozens of KEYᵒⁿᵉ variants - made for different markets and carriers.

An autoloader is available for June that can bring (almost) everyone up to that point (where things have apparently stopped - save for AT&T).

By "almost" , we have to exclude CDMA, Chinese, and Indonesian devices.

I have an AT&T branded KeyONE, and I am still stuck on ABZ982. If I go to Settings --> AT&T Software Update, the links for both "Check for Updates" and "Continue Update" are grayed out. If I launch DTEK and go to System --> Android Security Patch Level --> CHECK FOR UPDATES --> CHECK FOR UPDATES NOW, I get a message saying "Your system is up to date" with a check mark above ABZ982. I worked with AT&T tech support, then they told me to contact BlackBerry Mobile support and I worked with them, and still no resolution. According to the information on the AT&T website, I should be able to apply not only ACD561, but also ACF301 and ACG696. Does anyone have any advice to offer?

I'll make you an autoloader. Hang in there.

I just noticed you typed ACG986, but I think that's supposed to be ACG696. Was that just a typo? Just making sure before I give it a try. Thanks again for doing this!

I wanted to follow up and let you know I ran your autoloader for AT&T ACG696 with no wipe, and everything went smoothly! I was sweating it a little bit, because this was my first time doing this, and I'm not the type who spends a lot of time using the command window on my PC, hahaha. But it worked! Thanks again.

    Which one is "this" one?

If you're referring to the AT&T-specific loader I posted above, it is only for the AT&T-branded device PRD-63116-036.

Did you try to run this on your silver KEYᵒⁿᵉ? If so, go back to ABY299.
