BBB100-1 is the GSM model. Purchase this one for use with GSM carriers like AT&T and T-Mobile.

Bought the BBB100-1 GSM model from Amazon last week, turned on out of the box, connected to wi-fi while charging, signed in with gmail address, updated Nougat and all apps, transferred data from old Q10 to new KEYone via Blackberry Content Transfer (works great), took both phones to nearby AT&T company store for a new nano sim card, tested phone and texting...good to go! KEYone really is the best PKB BB yet, and is well-protected with an AVIDET Shock-Absorption, Anti-Scratch Soft Gel TPU Silicone Case Cover (Transparent)...

KEYone with Android is fun to use, especially the Hub and so many apps including TV programs and videos. Not looking back after a decade plus with BB OS devices.

Note: Family member is using the KEYone, and after setting up and using occasionally, my preference is still the more capable Priv with a larger screen and PKB slider. Nougat is nice, but Marshmallow still a very good OS.

I don't feel like the PRIV is more capable. Sure the screen is bigger, but that's all it has going for it. Sub-par specs and poor battery life are two things you'll get with the PRIV. The KeyOne is much faster and lasts much longer by comparison. It has also been found that the KeyOne keyboard and it's features far outweigh the PRIV's.

Plus the KeyOne will have better and longer software support.

If you're buying new, and your work will buy it, go with the KeyOne. Don't even consider the PRIV. There is no comparison.

Once you buy the GSM version from Amazon or Best Buy...

...if your current phone uses a nano SIM card, simply move it from your current phone to the KEYone. It only takes minutes.

Works fine for mine, and I'm on AT&T. I just tested it and I was able to connect with my laptop and access the internet.

The -3 model should also work properly (AND give you the ability to move to Verizon in the future) but while it's been verified to with T-Mobile I don't know if it has with AT&T.

Get the model that has been confirmed for at&t, while the -3 model may work on at&t and give you the ability to switch to Verizon it will most likely be a headache. If you end up switching to Verizon you would better off selling the at&t model and buying the Verizon variant.

My first question would be if you have hotspot on your account and/or are in a grandfathered plan because if you're grandfathered you won't get hotspot without them altering your plan on their own.
