Three years from initial launch. Keep in mind, security updates are NOT the same as OS updates.

From the initial launch of the silver or the black edition? About OS updates, from what I have read it will only get Oreo "hopefully", is that true?

But since then, they joined the Android Enterprise Recommended program, requiring 3 years of updates.

It would be worth knowing if the black KEYone has a support "clock" that started when it was released. it is a different version of the phone, and came out later.

Like automobiles I do not understand the yearly release of new smartphones. Design and build high-quality devices, and keep the software up to date until the devices fall apart.

I'd ignore the paint jobs. Assume 3 years from the launch of the first device.

And don't forget, the 3 years is just a minimum.
