Struggling to convince a friend to buy the KeyOne over the One Plus 5T

My friend is looking to buy a new Android phone

Suggested the keyone. Highlighted the pkb, battery life and security advantages.

Even though he loves the idea of going back to pkb, he feels the One Plus 5T is better value. It has a decent battery, great specs, dash charging and a better camera. Both phones are priced at £449 in the UK.

Any suggestions on additional benefits to make my case?

the only great thing are the buttons on the keyone. If he is ok with touchscreen, he shouldn't buy a keyone.

Why? If he like the OP5T better, so be it. The KEYone isn't for everyone.

don't force anyone to get anything. trust me. first problem they have they will come complaining to you. learned this lesson the hard way recommending a Z30 to my bro in law. regretted it for all 4 years he had it.

Resale value of one plus 5T is much better than KEYone. I would also recommend one plus 5T to my family member over KEYone. Keyone is just not for everyone even though I love BlackBerry.

I think the best solution in your case was to ask your sister to divorce him after a year, max two, of complaints... four years is too much...

The OP5T is going to be getting BB10 style gestures.

So I think quite a few number of users here are going to be switching.

We'll then see if they values privacy and security all along afterall.

I'm personally looking at the OP6. If it has a few particular features I'm interested in, I might just accept our Chinese overlords and jump in.

OnePlus 5T is way better. The only reason someone should buy a KeyOne is if they feel like they must have a physical keyboard. The K1 internals are garbage compared to the 5T and BlackBerry software can be loaded on any Android.

Too funny now serious, to be honest I can't imagine my daily work and life without K1. Why I love blackberry... apps +kbr +structure of blackberryandroid. Sure it's not BB10 but...
