Was in Sing last week and saw one K1 in a shop in Lucky Plaza on Orchard. The shop is in the second walkway from Orchard Rd on the ground floor, opposite a large open area in the middle of the Plaza on the ground floor. The shop window has a row of BlackBerry and logo, and the K1 box is right there behind the glass window. It is the only BlackBerry in the shop though.
But I guess buying from the UK is cheaper.

I did not ask for the price. I was assuming that if they had it there, they had to import it from pretty much the same source that we would use, and would add a margin over it. So at any rate it would be more expensive than us buying it.

On this same thread, there were about two others buying the phone from the UK, from Unlocked Mobile and Clove, paying about 430+ pounds for everything, and surprisingly did not have to pay GST/ imported tax. If any one buying from Selfridges, I believe Selfridges will take the shipping cost and price will be under 420 pounds, plus GST/ imported tax (7%) if not being as lucky as the earlier two.

Just to clarify / update. GST was indeed paid. After a week or two the bill came from FEDEX.

Ah well, the Tax dept. won't let anyone getting away.
Did you pay just the tax or tax plus Fedex service as well? I heard that Fedex would charge an amount if they pay tax and fee for you without getting $$$ for that from you in advance.
