Had tried asking Singtel but it appears that there are no plans to do so yet...

I pre-ordered for UK's Unlocked-Mobiles. Supposedly dispatch date is around 15th. Not sure what might happen yet. Yes many many threads about Selfridges loop hole but decided not to bother with it.

Hopefully my order and delivery comes through... then it will be one way for us red dot folks to get hold of the K1

I'm going to wait for the US version, better frequencies for overseas usage.

Also, with the current exchange rate, the US version is cheaper.

I'm waiting for it as well. Do you guys know if Germany version will work well with Singtel network? I'm traveling to Germany next two weeks and looking to get my hands on one but not sure about the network compatibility though.

The German version should be the European model as well. Its the same as the UK model, which definitely works in SG.

But I think the German version will have a slightly different keyboard due to the language use. It won't be qwerty

The EU model will work with our local LTE network. Reckon it is enough for worldwide use. US model has more LTE bands to accommodate their numerous service providers probably?

One consideration in getting the UK version is the power plug, which is similar to what we use here.

When I ordered it from Unlocked-Mobiles, they recognised it as an oversea purchase and deducted their VAT (GST essentially). Remember to factor that into the purchase I guess?

BUT, yet to hear further updates from them in regards to shipping. Will update whether all goes well...

Through their website. I was told to make verification after the purchase as it's my first purchase. Was as simple as calling my bank and asking for the transaction code.

I expect so. Even without VAT I suspect it'll be cheaper getting one from the US.

Arrived! Glad I did not miss the delivery! Paid total of £436.82 inclusive of delivery charges but minus UK VAT.

Did not have to pay local GST as well, which I was pleasantly surprised with...

Am not going to do any reviews here. Have tons of that in CB already. Just wanted to say that it is possible to get it. Got mine from Unlocked-Mobiles, UK.

On the UM site, I chose FedEx but the guy that turned up at the door was one of the other courier handlers... can't recall offhand now, but I know them as reputable

The most worrying one are the finger print button glitches.

There are a few other problems though, I think if you browse to the later pages of the forums you'll see the respective threads.
