This happened to my brothers phone on Wednesday gone, he's careful with his phones and he's told me it hasn't been dropped/knocked but it was a very hot day so I can only assume this might have had something to do with it.
Just spoken to someone at CPW over the phone who said anything like this is a chargeable repair!?
For those in the UK with CPW KeyOne's who have had build issues, have you gone back to CPW or direct to blackberry?
With regards to this issue, if I am made to pay for a repair I will vote with my feet and sell both my brothers device and my own one. I'm not interested in owning a device from a manufacturer who I can't trust to look after me when issues such as this arise.
No bumper zone between the lens and the metal frame and they have different thermic expansion, so when the frame heated and expanded it shattered the brittle glass lens...
I dont know about you.. but im living in the Desert aka Dubai.. dont think it could get any hotter than this place.. but my phone has so far managed to stay in tack.
Went into my local Carphonewarehouse today to hand the phone in for a repair as advised by the CEO's office, only to be told that it's a £169 flat fee for hardware repairs. Unbelievable!!
