I've got some Sandisk which seems to be working okay.

I've got the 128GB SanDsik too, used it with my Passport and now K1.

I used the 128 and now a 16 and the first one stopped working all together , and my phone saying 16 is not working right

I also have a 128 SanDisk that I moved, with data, from my Passport. Working flawlessly.

Now that I've said that I know I'll be screwed in the near future.

Time to back it up! I try to back up my SD card every so often. These days we use our Smartphone a lot and put lots of "data" so its good to transfer the files in your computer or E-HD. I don't like backing them up in the cloud.

I thought the SD error message was an issue predominately with SanDisk cards, maybe its been resolved in one of the recent updates....

I've seen the message, but it hasn't effected a thing.

To the OP, there is no "right or wrong" brand. Some have better ratings than others based on performance tests and reviews. SanDisk and Samsung seem to be the most reliable, and have the best speeds, but if yours fails, it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks, LoL. I chose a SanDisk Ultra Plus myself, as it gives near U3 speeds, and was on sale. Don't bother with a UHS-II of any brand. Doesn't appear any smartphone will support that tech soon.
