What's the warranty manual say?
You have a 1 year Warrenty. There is lots of discussion about in other threads
I know it comes with warranty, but I'm asking if this issue is covered under it?
Since you would at least have to probably sit on your phone for this to even occur.
I couldn't find anything for this specific question. Link?
Like so many things - it would depend.....
While a screen should not easily pop off, it the device showed signs of other damage, then it might not be covered. So if it fell and you dinged a corner of the device, they might disclaim warranty. But then again, they might not.
If there were no signs of damage, then I would expect it would be covered.
If they found your finger prints embedded in the rear rubber case, they might suspect that you tried the Jerry-rig bend test on your own!
If you haven't already got the K1 why would you get one with this happening to the screen. Better off waiting until it's sorted. You wouldn't want to be stuck with a unstuck phone screen ;-)
Because there's no telling what batch you get anyway. Australia launch is soon and I'm sure the phones are made and shipped already.
If you can claim this under warranty, I could care less and will definitely still get one.
if a scratch/dent + screen falling off voids the warranty, then maybe I'll reconsider lol
Just saw this on CNET
Answer is it doesn't really matter until they have devices that have adhesive
cnet did some extreem drop tests and after 10 drops the screen wouldn't pop out, so they decided to bend . after 4 times of extreem bending and using all there power the screen finally pop out :).
So in daily use and drops they device is king
But of course they don't say that in that review. So for the common consumer reading that on CNET might be taken aback by that.
Of course...cause that is how CNET to rolls
Because isn't really happening. No one likes to say I was careless with my phone and the screen separated as a result. They'd rather say I all I did was take my phone out of my pocket and it's the phone's fault.
Kevin has now confirmed that the KEYone screen does have adhesive around the edges.
well I just received mine and honestly speaking this phone is solid , and honestly who the #*# bends there phone really come on people lol
It's sold out in a lot of places... it isn't a universal problem. The phone is really solid.
Also, future batches might not have this problem...
The last iphones were flimsy as hell. Samsung and Iphones Crack and shatter all the time...
Blackberry always has solid and durable phones...
