Just got a rogers device delivered. Great build but the screen is very dim and warm. Very disappointed as the phonearena rating in nits put it way up there for brightness. A side comparison to the v20 this thing is really poor. This one is a return. How are yours?

You do realize that you're comparing a Flagship phone to a mid tier level phone right? The v20 is supposed to be brighter than the KEYone.

Not talking quality. 665 nits for k1 vs 537 nits V2o per phonearena

You can adjust the brightness and wariness level in the Settings. Also ambient lighting affects the brightness if enabled (default is enabled).

Your settings are set to autobrightness? You tried maximizing the brightness setting?

Same. I find the screen to be sub par to others in same price range. tyats the first part that hit me, you can make it bright but oddly the screen just feels dim on any setting.

It becomes really apparent when going into the setting menu or comparing to white-ish web page on a different device.

That's a shame, perhaps it is defective? Some reviews said it's bright and others said it wasn't so it's unusual

It's hard to know where this one falls. Unfortunately there aren't any others to compare it to. It's not that its horrible - it just doesn't have the brightness of other devices. Its likely designed this way to save the battery.

Must have adaptive brightness on to get max brightness.

Checked a Bell and Rodgers unit locally and they were actually dimmer than mine. Seems like they might all be dim.

Not sure what people are talking about when I turned on the device I noticed the display was dim so I turned off the adaptive brightness off and viola the screen was bright even at 50%.

I saw the screen in a few reviews and it certainly seemed dimmer. They would have been review units though not production.

Exchanged my device for a new one and I would say it's 20% brighter. The keyboard is also brighter but not by that much. Had some of our staff compare the 2 devices side by side as a test that I wasn't deluding myself.
