Left BlackBerry to go to a Huawei P8 Max nearly two years ago. Sold my Passport and didn't look back.

But have now bought a Keyone because I just couldn't help it. Massive readjustment.

    But I like it.

Great to have a BlackBerry again but a few pointers from my perspective.

1 I find I need a bedside cradle. So ordered a generic USB C one as I find the phone fiddly at night if I pick it up for any reason. I somehow seem to touch the screen and light it all up etc. So in a cradle I can just glance and see the time easily.

2 The buttons on the side take some getting used to. The convenience key is set to the camera. I pick up or carry the phone and I've accidentally pressed it. Annoying.

3 You need a case. I bought the PRIV slip case. Perfect for the Keyone. I know I'd scratch it otherwise.

4 Screen took some getting used to. I like big screens personally. However I'm adjusting. I feel if the phone was just a touch bigger I'd be happier. But that's my preference.

5 Loving the BlackBerry software and how things are done. Missed it. Not BB10 I know but compensates with apps I can actually use.

6 Speedy phone. Slick. Everything just works. Great!

7 implementation of all Google software is great. Seamless and useful.

8 The battery. As everyone has said it's great. I'm a very heavy user. 7am to midnight. No screen auto dimming etc. I make my phone work hard for a living and battery still has 20% to 30% left at the end of the day. Happy with that.

Had it a week (in UK) and all seems good. No desire to go back to the Huawei which is a good sign.

And my screen hasn't fallen out so even better :-)

Get a Keyone. I had doubts but it's a great phone and it's a BlackBerry. If you're an addict you're an addict. Enjoy.

    yes, great write up!

3 - i bought the CoverOn case and the equivalent Incipio pure octane. The CoverOn has impossible to press buttons, but a box cutter to the sides of the buttons is an easy fix, the solid shiny black blends nicely with the front of the phone. Incipio is much thicker with easier to press buttons and a tiny bit transparent so it ain't solid black like the CoverOn. Both are fingerprint magnets

2 & 4 - same here, but i got used to it quickly

5 - Yes, definitely a change from BB10, but also a more efficient way of doing Android (pop-up widgets, shortcut keys, etc). I had the Galaxy S5 prior and the Droidberry experience is WAY better!

8 - i can easily squeeze 2 full days worth out of my KEYone with battery saving mode on. Sometimes 3 days if I don't play any games or watch videos
