Running it on Windows means editing the bat file, not the sh file...
I got confused... Then.. I modified wrong file? Haha....

If you edited the sh file but ran the script on Windows then the file you ran wasn't modified, since the sh file is for Linux/Mac while Windows uses the bat file.

I used the raw to create my own Autoloader but didn't require wipe on my CDMA.

So you directly updated from what it was before to AAN358, without flashing userdata or running a securewipe, and it worked?

Correct. Are others seeing issues with the loader without wipe? I'll verify once more.

It should, but you would be the first person to test it.

Since you're worrying about OTA updates in the other thread, you might consider using the desktop updater tool to load AAN517.

It should download AAN517 (or whatever else Bell is pushing) to your PC, wipe your phone, and load that.

If you could, see if you can save the "bbry_qc8953_sfi-user-production_signed-AAN517.zip" file it downloads somewhere so I can make an autoloader.

It worked! But I saw your request as it was finishing the update and missed the files.

I'll reset my device and try the tool again to see if I can copy the files.

It should save in (wherever you installed Mobile Upgrade Q)\bin\(PRD-63116-something)\AAN517\bbry_qc8953_sfi-user-production_signed-AAN517.zip. Make sure the file ends in .zip and not .zip_somenumber. The app cleans after itself, so you should try copying it during the loading process.

I tried re-installing 517 to grab those files, but all I saw was a .zip_somenumber

I copied it anyway and grabbed a couple of the local.db files while it was loading the software.

Not sure if that helps you or not? If so I can upload them.

I guess the db copies could help.

Would you be able to extract just the boot.img.sig, recovery.img.sig and The folder called "host?". I know uploading a whole zip that large is a lot to ask.
    Thanks so much!
