Some people have expressed that the KEYone should be all black, no silver bits. Should BlackBerry Mobile release a limited edition, pure black version of the KEYone at a $50-$100 premium like BlackBerry did with the white and red Passports? How much extra is pure black worth to you?

I'd consider a pure black one but would not pay a cent more for it...

IF they did this, they would have to go PURE black, as you say. All frets, camera trim, the works. Make that thing look stealth!

While I do think that would probably look slick, I actually rather like the look of the thing as is.

The additional pricing is based on what BlackBerry had done with the Passport. BlackBerry Mobile could price it anyway they like.

What if it came with 64 GB of storage instead of 32?

What about limited to 200 units world wide?

I really like the way it looks now with the silver trim but I totally get the whole black look - It would also look great.

Similar to how they went with the 9700 to 9780.

Love the whole black look of the 9780 more so than the original 9700.

Maybe an updated version next year - Mark II to go this route?

Wont happen. They are not in a position to bring out color variants. Will depend on how good it sells. If they bring out a new color, i expect it to be white, and not all black. Maybe we can hope for future devices

Agree. Not gonna happen but not because of all white or anything else. I think we need to stop deluding ourselves. We are lucky this device is coming out. There is no significant customer base for even more variants.

**Classic, Q10, Bold 9900, Bold 9000...do u notice the pattern? :-) ...the KEYone is NEXT!**

    Aurora comes in three colors....

But yes, different colors means different SKU and more inventory issues for production, distribution channels and for retailers/carriers.... many of whom had problems selling just one SKU with the PRIV. And the KEYone is an enterprise phones and I doubt enterprise cares much about colors.

hmm, thats a tough one. Not sure if i would pay extra just for a different colour. The Silver colour has actually grown on me and it's not that bad, especially considering the sliver colour is carried through the sides of the phone. I definitely think an all black colour would look awesome but the silver does make it look premium.. i wouldn't mind pay a couple extra for Wireless charging. Thats a nice feature to have.

piano black is good. but just not iphone jet black, didn't last very long according to many. like 9986 front would be good. with over coat to protect the color. but not pay more - why, the two tone should cost more anyhow.. pure black may have difficult to match the shade for different part... ok, $2.85 more.

With the K1 design being so similar to Passport Silver Edition they really should just pull a Passport and release all black version and fire red version of K1 along side the original silver K1.

I'm thinking the Aurora will be like many Lumia models in that the color options are just swappable case backs.

Nah I kinda like the way it looks. When I first saw one of the late renders with the Passport SE-like trim I was skeptical, but seeing the live phone in videos and stills I'm sold. Looks nice. Looks different. So many phones are just all black. Bah.
