Hi. I had an update of around 70mb come through yesterday and another today around 220mb.

After today's update, my notifications for apps have stopped. Anyone experienced this? Is there anyway to fix this? I've uninstalled apps and reinstalled but still the same problem!

The only workaround is to leave your important apps open in background. In my case I leave CNN, ESPN, NY Times, USA Today and NBC open. They will close automatically eventually, I just open it again.

AAL964 and AAM625 have issues with notifications. Nothing to do but wait for another update.

Damn ! I only got this phone a week ago and it worked perfectly!!! Since the two updates yesterday and today, it's stopped. I feel upset!

And I figured out the open app thing after testing out different scenarios.

So do you think I should return the phone or there will be a fix?

my frustrated two cents..at this rate BlackBerry is gonna be out of bothering with android os for consumers as they can't seem to throw enough resources at it. too busy on enterprise and iot stuff to care. not driving the bottom line for them.

I'm sure a fix is in the works, it's just a matter of when. They definitely know about the issue at hand.

Just got the update for July 5, 2017. Says AAM 625 and everything is running fine here. Bell Mobility Canada. I bought it and unlocked it in May.

No, it's just different models for different markets... For example, you and I have the BBB100-2 version while the people from the US and Canada have the BBB100-1 version. I assume you've tried a 32 second reboot already? If that doesn't solve your problem I fear you might have to do a factory reset if this issue annoys you so much. I have the same version as you, but I don't have any issues with the notifications, actually it seems to have improved since the June update.

I have experienced this as well, switched off my Bluetooth which I need but my phone still freezes. This only started after the last update, when are we likely to get a fix?

Just opened a case with BlackBerry Mobile. They have my bug report and are looking into it. Very impressed with the service so far.

Hopefully they find an issue.

I'm also on AAM481 and the system keeps closing background apps, this also includes the Notable app, which typically has its screenshot bar in the notification tray!
But I now always closes theses apps (in my case the samsung gear app, a call recorder and also the Notable app).
Currently have to have them open as apps so that these are not closed

If it's anything to go by, I did the ota update only to find my device overheating to the extent that it's impossible to hold in one's hand, scary stuff
