I am not sure what this is, but it was recently planted in the park nearby. The first shot was taken a couple of days ago, maybe Thursday, and the second was taken on Saturday. It is a huge flower. Attachment 444773Attachment 444774Attachment 444775

Sunset at the North Sea in June
Beautiful. Where on the North Sea?
Germany, nearby the island Spiekeroog. With my Passport SE and the App Open Camera I made even better pictures.
Today's hike: Iron Bear, east side (dry side) of the Washington Cascades.
Mt Stuart, Mt Rainer (14,000 foot volcano) and there's the trail sweeping a diagonal near the middle of the picture.
The detail!!Attachment 444897
Beautiful!
I don't mean to post so much here, but dang the camera is my favorite thing. It's fast too. Took this just now, he kept flapping his wings but somehow the phone got it at the right time! I do sharpen them and give them a bit of contrast(for this new picture) but that's it!Attachment 444898
Keep the photos coming. Those of us who follow this thread and post in it enjoy seeing them!
First oil company in Los Angeles.
My friend found and purchased this 1930's Ford gas tanker from someone who had it sitting for decades in a garage.
Another angle. He will restore this beauty!
Try again
With my GF
What an amazing relic from a different time! I hope you are able post some photos of his progress and then the completed project.
I fully agree. Will try my best.
Here's a 1949 Jeep he recently restored.

Yesterday's hike, partway up the slopes of Bandera Mountain, Washington Cascades about 45 miles east of Seattle. The predominant wildflower at this time of year is Bear Grass, a member of the lily family. It puts on quite a show blanketing the slopes with white. There's also lupin and paintbrush.
Giving me problems uploading some images
Those rocks. Are they from volcanic activity? It reminds me of Mt Lassen.
No, they are granite. And actually, Granite Mountain is the next mountain east (g) I've been atop Mt Lassen three times, if I recall correctly.
