Some photos from the flooding Willamette River. The floodplain is filling up with water.

Walked down to the beach at Discovery Park at a lower tide.

The Willamette River is still rising, and we went to Riverfront park right at sunset. The first 2 shots show an area that is a slough, and often dry, but this evening it has become a part of the river, to the delight of the water fowl.Attachment 443835

Flooded Wallace Marine Park taken from the RR walking bridge that connects to West Salem. The area is supposed to be part of the park. The river is right next to the park. (Date: April 11, 2019).
LOOK! The BlackBerry KEYone watermark (somehow that seems fitting ). There were 2 with watermarks but the other photo didn't turn out. Then no more. I got some KEYone watermarks on a couple photos last September. Then none after that till now. I wonder what causes th(. On the KEY2 it is a standard feature which I think you can torn on and off.

Today's foggy hike ended in sunshine about 10 minutes left of hiking.

The Willamette River has gone down after flooding a couple of weeks ago. This photo is taken on a path that was part of the swollen river just a short while ago.
PS This whole area was completely covered with rushing water. I could view it from a spot above the river.

Most definitely. Actually, I could use some rain so that I can get some rest. In the last week I've done about 85 miles of bike riding, two good hikes and a bunch of park walks. I need rain! (g)

Be careful what you wish for. Around here they were complaining about low water table about 6 weeks ago and not enough water coming up this summer. Right after that we got so much rain we had flooding.
The "Notable" graphics shows how it flooded and how it usually is in the local park.
