From liquid water to solid water. Today's hike - Talapus and Ollallie Lakes. WA Cascades about 45 miles east of Seattle.

Those views can be yours for a relatively cheap ferry fare. I get SENIOR rates (g)

Probably cheaper than an airplane ticket for a trip to Florida like the one I just took. Here are a few photos from there. The 4th photo was a "visitor" to the screened in porch made into a bedroom. (That is inside the porch). It didn't bother anyone; just hanging out.
I slept there the first 2 nights I was there.Post your photos taken with the BlackBerry KEYone!-img_20181205_1229303.jpegPost your photos taken with the BlackBerry KEYone!-img_20181203_1147496.jpeg

I didn't hear about any alligators in the area but there were Turkey Vultures. 1st photo you can see at least one of the turkey vultures gliding on the wind amidst the blowing leaves. The 2nd photo shows the wing span not so far from the vehicle. Post your photos taken with the BlackBerry KEYone!-img_20181202_0919125.jpeg

Here are a few floats from the Holiday Lights Parade in Keizer Oregon Saturday evening. I thought they came out quite well considering that they are night shots and the vehicles were moving.

The gators are there. Always. In Florida, any fresh water always has gators and snakes. Leave them alone, probably, they’ll leave you alone.

We visited the Amazon Spheres today.

    See:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amazon_Spheres

    https://www.seattlespheres.com/the-s...-public-visits

They are actually quite large and some of the photos give some sense of scale. There's tons of plants and lots of them are labeled.

You are welcome. It is still quite new and only recently opened to the public - I guess two weekends a month. Otherwise it is an employee work/lounge area. We were both quite impressed. The green wall being misted. The carnivorous plants. Meticulously clean. The displays were quite impressive with some really nice specimens. Lots of people. You do need the advanced ticket.

After the storm Monday into early Tuesday that hit the Willamette Valley. The high winds took out some branches and trees in Keizer Rapids Park. The last photo shows the pond that had become mostly a bog but now is more like a pond again. In the first photo the Willamette river is seen in the background.

Okay, here's the sacrifice I make to post some of the nice images - the dreck days when there's nothing to write home about or photograph! (g)

Yesterday's first "ski" trip of the season. Miserable snow conditions, what we call Cascade Concrete and fog.
