Picture password image size issue

Asked: May 06 2021 | 11:42 am EDT 771 Views 4 Answers

Hey everyone,

I've encountered two problems with the Picture Password feature on a KEYone device (BBB100-5 8.1.0 Android) and haven't been able to find a solution:

  • The image keeps getting resized/cropped and the digit position does not correspond the original one, hence the device stays locked;
  • Cannot select a custom password image file: I keep getting "Error. Could not load media" message regardless of image size or file extension I try to select.

Factory reset does not sseem to help. I would be grateful for any advice.

Attached an example of image size issue (left screenshot is the original, right one is the faulty one):

Have you made any adjustments to your display, including resolution, DPI, or magnification?

Nope, font and display sizes are set to default and magnification is off.
