My phone randomly partially corrupts photos long after they're taken. My passport did this as well and I'd assumed it was the phone. All photos, videos, music are stored on my memory card.
Seeing as two phones have done this, I figure it has to be the memory card, right?
I have a 64 gb lexar xc memory card. Not exactly the cheap kind. I'm also confused as to why only photos would be affected by whatever is happening.
Has anyone seen anything like this before? Is it likely the memory card? Is there any way to test this?
Is it only photos or are you losing any other files as well? If you only store photos on the external sdcard it might be hard to tell....
Only time I've seen stuff like this is because the sdcard is fake and isn't as large as it states. i.e. It's overwriting it's own data because it's reporting the card is larger than it actually is.
I have music and videos from the camera on there as well and I haven't had any issues with them. The card is a legitimate one, as far as I know. I thought it was the Passport but now I'm confused as it's happening with the K1 as well. Seems like it has to be the card, but isn't affecting music or videos.
