Absolutely not. The only thing they have in common is color. The Passport SE was the start of that design element.

Not even close. The Mercury reminds me of the Passport SE, but I suppose this is a Captain Obvious quote.

Reminds me of Sony Ericsson's P1i. Didn't buy one, though, 'coz of its clunky keyboard. Even worse than the Passport's!

had P1i! was quite good, actually. No berries were really available in Lithuania at that time

mercury and passport actually reminds me this.

by the way, I even managed to have this:

again - berries were already in Lithuania, but my operator did not support it yet

Mercury was 100% BlackBerry design, where they picked up design elements over the years...... how many ways can you make a rectangle smartphone?

As TCL owns both the PALM and BlackBerry brands... they pretty much have a big "chunk" of the PKB design IP, now if they can just make it popular again.

Oh yeah, I loved all my Palm Devices. Still have a couple of TX's, a 650, 2 680's, 3 Centro's, a Palm 750, 800 and some where around here is even a i705 & a Palm W. Years later I had all the WebOS devices & TouchPad. After that I finally decided to try a BB10 device. Started w/ the Q10, added a Z10, a couple of PlayBooks, then a Classic. Tried the Passport for a almost a week, & got rid of it. Then the Priv & here recently added a couple of 9900's. But man, I loved my Palm Treo's!

Palm Zire was the best for me: swappable wifi insert, memory, with camera. I took a picture of virtue poker dealer at one of casino - video image of the dealer project on a large screen, nobody notice (few pda or phone at time got camera in that neck of the woods). a fun device with many cool app, including IR morse code you can communicate with your friend in the room without let other know... or battle of TV control... good old days. Seriously, the tactile feedback of BB keyboard and surface touch curve are the thing you get use to easily and never want to let go... just ask Obama.

did suggest in the past to have series of sticker as bbm imaging code... until apple snapped the similar idea... anyone still buy those silly stickers? image is much better than words... (lawyer win the case can have money, prison, etc. vacation can have the boat, airplane, etc. much short message, excellent for bbm).

Don't see the resemblance at all honestly. It obviously gets its cues from the Passport SE. Therefore why wouldn't one say the that the Passport SE looks like the T3?
