OMG the new BlackBerry Launcher update allows grid layout and icon size control! this was the ICING ON THE CAKE. No need to use third party launchers anymore, which means we can use the keyone's double physical keyboard shortcuts - the way the device was meant to be used! I've been waiting for this since the PRIV days! Using any other launcher other than blackberry launcher on keyone is a total waste IMHO. You lose the double shortcuts on the keys - what's the point of owning a K1 if you can't use double shortcuts on the PKB? Good news is, now you don't have to! BB Android launcher does it all.

Update 1: This update to the launcher also fixes the google assistant trigger from the holding down the home button. You don't need to set the smallest width in developer mode to 476 anymore. It will work with any smallest width.

Update 2: This does not allow you to change the number of dock icons. Mine shows 6 dock icons because my dpi is set to 332. To do this all you have to do is:
    a) Turn on developer options by going to settings > about phone > quick tap the build number field like 10 times. You should get a message saying that developer options is saved.
    b) Go back to settings and you should see a new menu called 'developer options', go into developer options and find the field 'smallest width', set it to 520.
    c) Restart your phone (important).

This will change your dpi to 332 and it will make everything smaller, all apps will work just perfectly. Even google assistant will work via holding down home button.

This is tested working with build AAN517 on Rogers Network in Canada. I'm not responsible if your phone explodes.

Go to BB launcher settings and click the "icon and layout" button then you can scale the icons highlighted in green below. You can change your grid size using the setting highlighted in red below. I have my 'smallest width' set to 520 in developers options so it looks a bit smaller, but that's the gist of it. See screenshots.

Mine doesn't change, it won't save the settings. When I come back to the Icon Layout setting it's set back to default. Anyone encountered this problem?

Agreed, I use 'icon changer' app sometimes but it disables the pop up widget function and also it disables the notification red dot on top of the icon.

Cool! Hopefully these improvements will filter down to the Hub+ subscribers as well. Should help out folks with legibility on the K1, always thought the icons seemed a bit smallish on that screen.

Love resizing icons and changing Launcher Grid sizes. Very very cool!!! At this point, with smaller icons and or grids, we need the ability to expand the number of icons in the dock.

Yes exactly. But I changed my smallest width to 520 in developer options so now there are 6 apps on my dock. 520 works nice with everything, assistant works just fine.

someone else had the same problem, not sure why. please check your 'smallest width' setting in developer options. I have mine set to 520. Set yours to 520 and then restart your phone see if it setting sticks.
