I bought mine from Selfridge, unlocked. I sended my device September to get the screen fixed, it was on July update, came back with September update (different phone I believe). And have not received October update as of yet.

Proof me otherwise, but so far I feel this BlackBerry monthly update is a hoax. Only thing BlackBerry can right now offer what others can't is top quality keyboard.

Those are the dates my NA unlocked device got the updates. So the update exists. It sits on BlackBerry Mobile servers on those dates.

After that, either there are international and/or carrier hurdles to overcome, or BlackBerry Mobile sits on the updates to intentionally upset you while laughing.

The same story repeats at Samsung, LG, etc, etc.

Overall, I agree. You describe the reasons behind the recurring delays for releasing the updates worldwide. However, I think it is not fair comparing how bad performs Samsung, LG, etc etc as regards updates with Blackberry. Blackberry and their licensees sell security, including solid hardware, software and of course, monthly updates. Many users are business oriented. We are expecting something better, closer to what they wisely advertise "best-in-class security updates" or so. Regional issues difficult to overcome are no longer an acceptable excuse. We tolerated it on September, I politely accepted their apologies. But now... it is time for delivering updates worldwide on time, as expected by any Blackberry fan.

But the international regulatory agencies are far outside the control of BlackBerry Mobile. The ONLY thing they can do is get the update out to them asap. After that, it's out of TCL's hands.

I was able to get the October update about 10 days after the 5th as is the "published" date. Purchased at launch through Best Buy here in the states. Thankfully, somehow my screen stayed in tact. lol

They pushed the update today. Have you checked for updates in the updates App? Maybe even clear cache and data from the updates App and try again.

Hi no the update app is fine but the other carriers I have seen publish a schedule so everyone knows when they should get it. Bell doesn't seem to share that information. Cheers

Ah okay I know what you mean. As far as I know Rogers is the only one and typically the other carriers update around the same time Rogers does.

just got the October update AAQ302. unlocked 100-1 Southeast Asia. it's Nov 1 in our neck of the woods, though, so it was almost "on time" in BB-update-pushing standards hehe

You were also one of the first in the world to get the Krack patch. So.....
