    just downloaded with FOTA method and man thats awesome. @mbirth if we dont clear the data from the updates app, what will that do? will it continue to assume the prd is what it was changed to?

    Now that you can't access it to turn off test mode, it will stay as it was until you clear the data.

    That, and it will also assume the firmware version you've set. So it'll download the same update over and over again, ignoring any newer ones.

    Not until somebody finds a way to set the now inaccessible settings in some way. Or another way to simulate a different PRD.

    Mbirth my update app is still in advanced mode after the september update. Test mode is off.

    Do I have to revert to basic mode (clear app data) or can I just leave it as it is and receive future updates?

    I am on VodafoneNL, any news about the oktober update?

    Wow, that's rather large. Maybe that's why the update took a little longer than usual to get released. Happy to see it being released slowly. 😃 Hopefully the other Blackberry devices will follow shortly.

    More than a security patch for sure. Can't see any difference on first look.

    personally, i think they made the september update with the notification bug in mind and thats it. other than the notifications, i think the performance to septembers update to august dropped so i think this october update is what september and october should have been.

    Looks as if core applications got updated. Sadly, BlackBerry Launcher is still not allowing badge/spark notifications on multiple applications, nor showing them in the Hub.

    I can get 100% success with Nova Launcher, so I know it's not the individual applications themselves.

    Not sure what your issue might be but I've never had a problem with the spark showing up for app or hub notifications. Maybe try to disable and reneble the launcher?

    As I don't know what side effects there are, I'd rather clear data to make sure you'll get future updates suited for your device.
