This can happen when the tones are stored on the mSD card. Try copying or moving them to a folder in Device storage.

Hi, hope you don't mind me asking, but how do I copy/move such files from my SD card to the internal memory of my KEYone? Cheers.

Either use the Downloads app that comes on your phone or find a file manager app from the Play Store. If you use Downloads, you might need to enable internal storage from the dot menu. Copy or move your MP3 file to the Ringtones directory on your device storage. Reboot and it should now be part of the menu when selecting a sound.

As noted by modifier. Or, plug into your PC, enable MTP from the notification shade. Then, your device shows in file manager. You can copy/cut and paste or open Internal storage as one window and mSD as another then just drag and drop.
    modifier likes this.

Not related to the subject, but still... Has anyone noticed that the BB Hub notification sound is the one used on BB10 when your phone enters "Battery Saving Mode"? Isn't that weird : D
