How do you change the sound notifications per app.
    As an example: BBM
The default ding is something I want to change to a customized "tone" I created. Can this be selected and modified?
PowerTools on BB10 allowed to change notifications per contact in BBM, etc. PowerTools Android seem to be lacking similar features, but is there any other way to adjust notifications in any app on the granular level?

    Thanks.

It's within the app settings of the app itself.

@evodevo69 please walk me through with BBM. I've searched and I think I'm blind. (was so at home with BB10, but times are a changing)

What I've noticed is that apps will offer a range of sounds, but you cannot choose your own custom sounds on, for example, the SD card.

You should be able to open BBM, then find the settings then there should be notifications and within notifications you can set led color, sound, vibration, etc

Step 1: Open BBM and select icon to the far right under the blue title bar. It is a profile icon called "Me"
Step 2: Tap Notifications under Settings
Step 3: Make sure the Notifications is switched on
    Step 4: Tap Tone
    Step 5: Choose a Tone
Changing the LED Color is also listed under the Tone option.

    Thanks.

It appears that the color you choose for the Account in the Hub is the color for the LCD light notification corresponding account.

    So...

Step 1: Open up the HUB
Step 2: Hit the menu bars on the top left.
Step 3: Scroll all the way down and tap Settings
Step 4: Choose the Account (for example: Text Messages)
    Step 5: Choose Account Color

    Hope this works....

This is what I have tried but when a text message comes into the Hub a red line or colour I chose is at the side of the message.

Yes, that is right, but I think the LED light notification should match that color. So far that is the connection I see on my device. It's pretty nifty, actually. (Now if only audio notification worked that way too....hmmm)

    Hub Settings + Custom Alerts
(Set alerts for different contacts or messages)

    In case anyone was wondering.

Just uses Light Manager and you would be able to customise most of the things.

You can only set the led color for emails using the HUB.

For text messages that should be within the sms app itself, under settings.

If the stock sms app doesn't have said option then you can just download another sms app like textra or something.

I can't remember if the stock android sms app has this ability to set the led light or not.

But the concept is the same - if you want to set the led color for a certain app, you have to open the specific app and go into settings and change the notification settings, one of which usually includes the led color.

For emails though, assuming you disabled the stock apps to avoid double messages, you set the led light inside the hub.

    Sorry I don't use BBM.

My directions still helped you figure that out though did it not?

Not sure if you were being snarky with your reply but I couldn't give you a step by step detailed description since I don't have BBM installed.

    You're welcome? Loll

Yes, you pointed me in the right direction and I thought it would be good to write out the steps if anyone else was looking for the information.

    No snark intended, @evodevo69
    Sorry about the misundertanding.
