You can complain until the cows come home on these "official" Blackberry Mobile support forums, but ultimately no one cares. They are even promoting Joe public buy the BE Keyone at Best Buy on the Crackberry front page and make no mention that it's running a 6+ month old version of Android and that DTEK security software flags the phone as vulnerable. Good stuff.

Support from BBMo has also been horrible. It's been maybe a week or so since they said they'd get back to me. I'm so done with BlackBerry and their crap.

If I'm gonna be forced into using Android and getting spied on I may as well use a supported device with specs to match the price.

If Android bothers you that much than switch to IOS since it’s at least closed ecosystem. The XR has been a good device for the price.

I think it was you using Android and being spied on... that caused him to suggest iOS over other Android devices.

Many here are just as frustrated with where the brand is today... but they'd rather live with the issues and have a BlackBerry (PKB Phone) option, than not have one.

Business is business. There will always be edge cases that fall through the cracks.

With respect to updates, there are notably some bizarre and inexplicable exceptions, but the vast majority are within 60 days.

Even though it's an entirely different company, BlackBerry was hodge podge with BB10 updates - many got left on 10.2.1, others stayed on initial 10.3.x builds, etc, etc.

I get it as I’ve sunk far more into BB hardware than most here. I was giving you the other solution because you were complaining about using Android forward. What is the problem other than companies doing whatever it legally takes for survival.

BlackBerry supplies the updates to BBMo, and BBMo is subsequently responsible for the distribution.

As to the holdup on 63116-039, I have no idea. Only BBMo knows the answer.

All OSes are on TCL's servers. This is where we retrieve the files to make autoloaders.
