What is your actual device PRD (type *#837837# into the phone dialer)?

All KEYᵒⁿᵉ devices (apart from the AT&T and Sprint variants) are factory-unlocked.

It's just that all unique PRDs can be feed updates independently.

Your updates do not depend on Telus' schedule.

The black KEYᵒⁿᵉ in Canada is the only BBB100-1 to NOT get an update since then.

Not sure why. Nothing to do but be patient, or manually install something newer with an autoloader.

    Hello,

Do you want to laugh a little ?

    I have a KeyONE Silver (PRD-63117-023 / BB100-2) which never received any updates since AAQ837 (November 2017 - Yes 2017 !!!)

    I have a KeyONE Black Edition (PRD-63117-040 / BBB100-2) which never received any updates since ABA693 (June 2018 - Yes June !!)

I have decided to return back to my BB Classic (in place of a KeyONE Silver because an android with 1 year of missing updates this is "free-for-all") and then ... oh what a surprise I received a new security updates on my BBOS10 (10.3.3.2137) ... so many years after I bought it !

So there are some rules about Android updates:
    - During life and support of your phone (2 years) ... updates are managed by Murphy's law or any algorithm based on Russian roulette.
    - After the end of life of your phone (>2 years) ... Game Over ! But the advantage is that you no longer need to run behind the updates!

If I chose 12 years ago to leave Windows Mobile 2005 for BlackBerry it was because after being like as a Men In Black I have flashed so many times my WM2005 with XDA roms (it was funny but after sometimes it's annoying) and BlackBerry devices was simply working very smooth and had everything we needed. Today I feel like I came back a Men In Black upgrading my WM2005 !

Thanks to all people who provide here the autoloader which remain a concrete solution.

I'm fed up ! Where is the apt-get upgrade ?

    Kind Regards
    Moo

A quick use of a no-wipe autoloader, and you'd have them both on Dec in 10 minutes.

Are they safe? I know nothing about autoloaders on Android. Used them on BB10 and earlier Berrys but how do I know that nothing was injected before packaging or something?

Completely safe. BlackBerry Android has hardware root of trust, and only allows official software to be installed. No worries.

Hmm cool. Where do I look for them? I'm intrigued.

I'm on an unlocked KEYone Black Edition from Amazon and I'm still on the July update. Pretty pathetic as I thought the point of unlocked devices was faster updates since they're pushed from the manufacturer not the carrier. Am I wrong?

All updates are pushed by BBMo.

95% of KEYᵒⁿᵉs are on Nov or later. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

In any event, the above autoloader is the right one for you (post #10 ).

    Hi Conite,

Yes I know that it provide a better solution and more accurate than the over the air update process ... I already used the autoloader without any trouble !

I will do it ! I already downloaded the ABL693 (which name is ABL691KeyOne.7z ) before posting my previous answer.

I hope that @jcrutchvt2010 will provide the autoloader until the end !

That was just a question of time ... I totally erased Windows from my life and My mac is too old now. I need to take time to test under Posix.

    Kind Regards

I had the same issue where my Black Edition Keyone (PRD-63116-039) was stuck on July 2018 security patch. I finally took the plunge and installed the December 2018 autoloader via non-wipe script. I'm glad I updated it since I hated waiting for BBMobile to push out an update for PRD-63116-039.

Honestly I'm still afraid of loading unofficial stuff on my phone. I remember the old days where you could download straight off of the BlackBerry production servers. Those I knew I could trust. Stuff that people are ripping and packaging themselves has me nervous.
