    I'm not receiving notifications for newly installed apps (Hangouts and FB Lite messenger). They're added to the Hub and everything seems to be configured correctly (no notifications are blocked).

    Notifications, along with other background services issues, is a well documented problem here with countless threads going back more than 2 months.

    The Sep patch fixes the problem.

    Yes there is. There is a thread in here about it with links and directions but I don't recall what it's called.

    I'm going to guess it's not as simple as BB10...?

    Edit: yup, seems pretty advanced. I'll wait for carrier update.

    The way around it for now is to keep hangouts in your recent apps window. I actually have to do that at work as we use hangouts a lot. Notification come through then if it's open in recent apps.

    Got mine with Sasktel as well. At first hangouts still didn't work but did a reboot and all is good now. All notifications working well.
